Connect the Brick or Stone on the Fireplace Wall Slice a one-inch strip of cardboard and band the perimeter on the fireplace insert with it to guard the insert. Create a dry format of the stone veneer on the ground next to the fireplace wall. Slash just as much in the stone veneer as possible beforehand. Utilize a damp tile saw to chop the veneer.
